A bit about me…

I’m 39 and originally from England, I’ve lived in New Zealand for 10 years. This is me after finishing the Auckland Marathon. I’ve completed several marathons and also completed the Taupo 160km cycling event and K2 in the Coromandel. Nutrition is a major interest of mine and have studied Cadence Nutrition for several years. I specialise in NZ Police & NZ Defence Force fitness test training, endurance training & boxing.

I’m an independent Personal Trainer…

I was a Les Mills Personal Trainer for 4 years but now train people through effective home & outdoor based training sessions & online training programmes.

I became a PT because…

I have seen through my years of fitness just how much training increases a person’s health and reduces stress.  I know that setting targets and not reaching them is such a disappointing feeling and makes you want to give up but reaching them is the greatest feeling of success!

It’s knowing whats stopping you from getting to where you want to be & then knowing how to get there.  I can help here, the training simply starts again but in the best way and with the correct exercises.

This is why I became and still am a Personal Trainer – it’s great to know I can help people.

I can help you by…

  • Reviewing your current situation, from daily lifestyle to physical and personal issues (rehabilitation to lack of motivation)
  • Working with you during a career transition. I have now successfully trained people joining the NZ Police and Defence forces. All of these people followed our regular sessions and training plans and it is due to this, that they are now where they want to be.
  • Working with you to set your goals and put together your training plan(s).  Everyone has different targets, time schedules, likes, dislikes, health situations etc. & it’s this that makes following a “set for all” training programme found on the internet a basic “waste of time”; in the long run it will not work for you.

My Training Style…

I’m the type of Personal Trainer that uses a variety of exercises in your sessions; no session is ever the same. There is always more than one way to train a muscle or group of muscles but at the same time there are some exercises that are more beneficial.

I will ensure you see the benefits & enjoy all the training we do together.
